Abut Mamikon
In 1986, Ningthouja Lancha joined forces with a group of passionate cinephiles to establish Mamikon Manipur, a film production house that aimed to contribute to the burgeoning Manipuri cinema settlement.
This venture signaled a new foray into filmmaking, exploring creative and innovative sensibilities, and contributing to the cultural tapestry of Manipur through cinema.
Mamikon Manipur debuted with the production of “Thengmallabra Radhamanbi” in 1989. Through this venture, he likely sought to bring stories from Manipur to a wider audience, leveraging.
Since then, Mamikon has produced more than 17 shorts, documentaries, and TV serials under its banner.
